The most magical place on earth, Disney World is my favourite park by far. No matter which theme park you’re going to, sometimes you want to save a bit of money. The park tickets, hotels and food can definitely add up quick.
Here are my budget tips for a day at Disney World

Visit During the Off Season
For cheaper Disney World tickets, book for the off season. January, February and late August through early December are all typically cheaper times to visit. Avoid visiting close to holidays for the cheapest prices.
Stay at a Hotel Off-site
Although staying at a Disney Resort hotel is more convenient, if you’re looking to save money you should check out the hotel prices outside of the resort area. If you’re planning on spending most of your day in Disney anyway, getting a cheaper place to sleep can be an affordable option. Bonus points if your hotel offers a free breakfast so you can fill up on food before getting to the park!
Sites like Expedia often offer discounts at hotels.
Use Rideshare Apps
If your hotel doesn’t offer a shuttle to Disney World, check the prices of taking an Uber or Lyft to the parks, instead of paying for parking.

Buy Disney Merch Off-site
Typically buying your Disney merch from other retailers off site will be much cheaper than buying it once you get to Disney World. If you’re looking to rep some Disney merch while in the park, try checking out thrift stores in the Orlando area, Amazon, Walmart, Target, or stores that advertise Disney merch off site.
Skip Paid Extras
If you’re looking to save money, avoid paying extra for Genie+ or lightning lane passes, instead use the free Disney app to plan out your day and stay up to date on wait times throughout the park.
Bring Your Own Snacks
Disney World guests are allowed to bring in outside food and drink, as long as they’re non-alcholic and not in glass containers. Pack some water bottles, drinks, sandwiches, chips and granola bars to save on lunch and snack costs! If you’re looking to pack light, bring one or two protein or granola bars each in a small fanny pack style bag or in your pockets!

Check Out Free Disney Experiences Outside the Park
Visit Disney’s boardwalk or Disney Springs for some free Disney fun! Disney Springs has free entertainment, with free live shows going on all the time. There are tons of cool free things to do here like watching the volcano show at Rainforest Cafe go off every 30 minutes after sunset! Check out Disney Springs website for a directory of all the shops and restaurants they also offer.

Disney on a budget is the only post I need to read about Disney hahah. THANK YOU for this resource!!
